Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for Program Intern – WASH
Work place: Jordan – Irbid
Core Functions/ Responsibilities
Under the overall management of the WaSH Senior Officer-Rehabilitation, the intern will assist and support achieving specific tasks related to the ACF Jordan country office. The intern will not work under the framework of the specific project but he/she will be involved in tasks that support the achievement of a number of objectives aligned with the WASH sectoral strategy and other cross-cutting themes in the mission.
General tasks:
- Arranging appointments via phone calls and field visits.
- Data entry for Completion Certificates and update the Data Base as well.
- Support Field team based on need in the technical assessments of the shelters.
- Any task assigned by supervisor
Specific tasks per thematic areas:
- Beneficiaries’ Coordination: The intern will be working with the WaSH Senior Officer to provide assistance in arranging appointments via phone calls for the field team and update the Data Base accordingly based on daily feedbacks and updates.
- Partnership Support: The intern will befollowing up with the Contractor’s Data entry on daily bases to update and prepare the lists for the team, in order to prepare new BoQs and signing new Completion certificates.
- Wash facilities Rehabilitation: the intern will support Field team in the field based on need in terms of the technical assessments of the shelters and handing over the shelters.
- Data Management: the intern will assist in data entry of the Completion Certificates in terms of quantities and beneficiary information and upload the copy of Completion Certificate on M.Water. The intern will also be requested to provide Daily, Weekly, Monthly report regarding the Database and progression in the works.

- General understanding of the humanitarian sector experience and the role of different humanitarian actors including international and national NGOs and local actors in the humanitarian context
- General understanding of the Action Against Hunger mission in Jordan.
- General understanding of the coordination mechanisms between humanitarian actors in the sector.
- Insight and hands-on experience in Action against Hunger WaSH operational and programmatic management.
- Insight and hands-on experience in community mobilization, Technical Assessment, and partnership coordination aspects.
- Working experience in a multicultural environment.

The intern is also expected to strengthen his/her knowledge and understanding of Action Against Hunger implementation guidelines by reading project documents and related SoPs. The intern will respect ACF internal rules and regulations, by-laws, and policies, and will adhere to the Code of Conduct
المهارات
Minimum qualifications and experience
- Fresh graduate, Preferable Civil Engineer.
- Good Knowledge and background in plumbing and electrical works of in-house rehabilitation.
- Good oral and written communication skills in both English & Arabic.
- Ability to work on Microsoft Office.
- Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural working environment.
- Priority will be be for applicants from the area of implementation.
