الوصف الوظيفي

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests related to IT issues.

·      Maintain computer systems and act as support if any system goes down.

·      Responsible for PC’s, Printers, Servers and related equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc).

·      Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed.

·      Assist with onboarding of new users.

·      Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users.

·      Install, configure and upgrade PC software.

·       Serve as the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance over the phone or email, and Ticketing system.

·      Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions

·      Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers

·      Walk the customer through the problem-solving process

·      Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

·      Provide accurate information on IT products or services

·      Record events and problems and their resolution in logs

·      Follow-up and update customer status and information

·      Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team

·      Identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures

·      Writing, editing, and revising training manuals for new and updated software and hardware

·      Following up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues

·      Requesting feedback and/or monitoring calls and other methods of correspondence to improve training methods

·      Running reports to analyse common complaints and problems

·      Resolve Basic Hardware and Software Issues

·      Interview Users to Determine the Scope of the Issue

·      Train Users on New Hardware and Software

المهارات

An excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.
