What you’ll achieve
As a Lab Support Principal Engineer, you will be responsible forThe IEO organization that plays a fundamental role in delivering IaaS for the ISG Development teams.  We accelerate the pace of development to meet their needs by ensuring all critical systems are running 24×7 in support of Engineering Development while at the same time driving division wide Transformation Initiatives to modernize Engineering Operations across multiple lines of business.
You will:

• Responsible for the sustainment and maintenance of our core Network and Compute Infrastructure that supports our VDI environment to appropriate standards and best practices in a fast-paced work environment
• Monitoring VDI environments and the backend infrastructure that supports the environment
• Responsible for administering system-level procedures; service layer application; deployment creation; scheduling redundancy management and certificate management
• Linux/Esxi system administration on physical and virtual servers to include installation and maintaining the hardware, software, and applications.
• Responsible for configurations and adjustments to enhance system performance and obtain overall health of environment

Essential Requirements

• Proficiency in hardware, software, and operating systems: ESXi (6.5 and later), CentOS (7.0 and later), Windows Operating systems
• Proficiency in monitoring applications: Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus, wavefront, Solarwinds, Zabbix and any other relevant monitoring mechanisms for VDI platforms support
• Working experience on load balancers ( AVI controller preferred)
• Working knowledge of self-service backup mechanism ( Velero, minIO) to implement a disaster recovery plan
• Working experience in VMWare technologies: Vsphere, software defined storage (vSAN), software defined networks (NSX)
• Working knowledge of SDWAN : Silverpeak/ Velocloud
• Working knowledge of networking/SAN/Storage/Unix

Desirable Requirements

• Scripting and coding skills: Shell, Python, Powershell, Ansible
• Experience working with Configuration Management Systems (git in particular)
• Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, Infoblox
