About the hiring Company:The hiring company is a leading corporation in the Libyan telecom services sector, established in 2005 in Tripoli, where it still has its HQ. It delivered multiple large Telecom and IT projects to clients from Oil&Gas, Banking, and many other industries in all the Libyan regions. Currently, it’s enlarging its presence in the Libyan market through new innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies with its international partners such as CISCO, Comba, EMC, Motorola, ZTE, Kenwood, TXO, Forsk, etc.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as Head of PMO:
- Develops and implements strategic objectives for the PMO department that are aligned with the company’s strategic initiatives.
- Setting the scope & objectives of the Projects.
- Manages the strategic aspects of projects and mitigates any risk.
- Develops, implements, and maintains sound business practices.
- Making sure all projects are in line with their approved budgets and agreed timeline
- Oversees project managers working on client engagements.
- Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
- Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Reviews management evaluations for consistency.
- Reviews status reports of Project Managers and addresses issues as appropriate.
- Reviews high-level deliverables.
- Ensures engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place in all areas of the department.
- Develops implements and maintains sound business practices.
- Setting project standards, processes, documentation and workflow.
- Process Improvement Plan (PIP)
- Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces.
- Enforces standard policies and procedures.
- Assigns tasks to practice management that give managers an opportunity to grow.
Qualifications and skills that will allow you to thrive:
- Bachelor / Master Degree qualifications in Telecommunication Engineering / Project management.
- Minimum 7 years experience in the required position.
- Solid Technical Understanding – Able to understand the implications of different technical choices and is able to guide his team to the best solution for their situation.
- Must have vast knowledge and experience in project management
- Previous experience in the role on a number of other projects of comparable size and complexity, or experience in a comparable role with similar required skills. If the individual is performing in this role for the first time, additional support is required.
- Able to overlook projects from a high level.
- Great leadership and team management skills.
- Must be effective in motivation, organization, planning and communication
- Must be fluent in both Arabic & English.
- Must be able to perform under pressure and effective at stress management
- Must be a creative thinker and a problem solver.
- Professional negotiation skills.
- Multitasking master.
- Financial acumen.
- Risk management skills.
- Physical abilities to perform the job duties.
