About this opportunity!
Responsible for expanding and optimizing our data structuring need, as well as optimizing data collection flow for cross functional reporting. Candidate is an experienced dataset builder who enjoys connecting, transforming, and automating data collection between systems. Must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems!
What you will do
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data collection, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the datasets to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
You will bring
- Education: Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in engineering (IT, Telecom) or
- Min years of experience: 2-5 years
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience building and optimizing datasets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Candidate with experience in a Data Engineer role, with Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- Experience using the following software/tools:
- Experience with any dataviz tools: Tableau, SAP Analytics, Power BI, …
- Experience with relational SQL databases, including SAP HANA, SQL Server, Access.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Tableau Prep Builder, Alteryx.
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python.
