Infrastructure Architect (VMware Virtualization Specialist)
• VMware Specialist will work with other members of team and the prime contractor to transform customer requirements into fully functional solutions based on the selected platform (VMware Suite). Strong analytical and problem solving skills are requiredDuties and Responsibility
• Provide expert hands on administration, configuration, and troubleshooting experience with VMWare tools including ESX, ESXi/vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, DRS and other virtualization technologies and concepts
• Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all virtual hardware, resources, systems, and key processes
• Performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to expedite incident resolution
• Developing scripts to gain efficiencies for reporting and automating repetitive tasks
• Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to the VMWare ESXi infrastructure.
• Define, maintain, communicate, and implement standards consistent with established architecture and strategy.
• Validate technical information and issues early warnings and shares information as needed
.• As a 24X7X365 organization, shift work, holidays and on-call responsibilities will be required.vRealize Suite Solution Support:
• Management Application Incident identification.
• Environment Security, Capacity and Health auditing.
• Coordinate and Support Software and code upgrades on vRealize suite.
المهارات
• Must have a good understanding of VMware technical environments (storage & virtualization) and minimum 5 years technical experience in virtualization Vmware.
• Virtualization – VMware vSphere – VCP certified or relevant work experience• Knowledge on vCenter, ESX, ESXi, Operations Manager, Server Heartbeat, Update Manager
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute with strong problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and Linux server OS.
• Experience in a technical and/or customer support setting is mandatory
• Excellent business communication skills: understands how to communicate to customers
• Quick learner, passion to challenge cutting edge technology
• Can work in high-pressure environment
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or matching work experience
• Honest, hardworking, loyal, patient, diligent, knowledge sharing and essential team player. Adaptable, approachable, reliable, helpful and trustworthy
• Able to work in a pressured demanding environment especially when there are high severity incidents to resolve
• Good documentation skills and willingness to share knowledge and be accountable to train less experienced engineers
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Email
