Salary Range: USD //1’570 – 2’400//

JOB SUMMARY
The Protection Data Administrator carries out data processing of information on people entitled to protection under international humanitarian law using specialized case-management software, in order to ensure the work of the Protection department is managed efficiently and effectively in line with established guidelines. He is responsible for the data comprehensive support on the Protection file and overall support to the Data Team Office.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.
OBJECTIVES AND TASKS
- Data inputs in Prot6 database individual data, based on different kinds of forms, cards, messages, tables, etc.
- Ensures that the collected data is reported as per working procedures and that the necessary documents are provided.
- Controls, corrects and completes the data input made by the delegates and the field officers.
- Monitors the global data quality by using tools such as dashboards and reports; reports duplicated beneficiaries to the Data & analytics Officer and the Deputy ProtCo in charge of Data when needed.
- Carries out data corrections under the supervision and/or the request of the Data & analytics Officer and the Deputy ProtCo in charge of Data.
- Understands and applies the data entry procedures for the data input and the data controls tasks.
- Understands the individual follow-up process of the main categories of beneficiaries (PFL cases) and, through the reading of their full history or individual file, reports proactively any identified discrepancy, delay, etc. to the Data & Analytics Officer and the Deputy ProtCo in charge of Data.
- Carries out basic data analysis upon the Data & Analytics Officer and the Deputy ProtCo in charge of Data requests.
- Carries out office work such as scanning, photocopying, filing, etc.; creates individual files for the new beneficiaries.
- Updates the paper files with all relevant documents (individual files, reference files, registration cards, etc.); attaches electronic documents to Prot6 and/or Team space according to the procedures.
- Processes the Protection Archive documents to send to Geneva.
- Participates in the revision and improvement of the reference documents such as workflows, data entry procedures, etc.
- May be asked to translate forms and data from the local language to English and vice versa.
- Contributes to the protection and security of individuals’ personal data.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
Years of experience required: 2-3 Years of experience / Previous experience with databases and data management (specialized software) / Information-management background.
Level of education: Professional degree
Field of education: Social Sciences or Computer Science and Information Management System
Languages: Excellent command of Arabic and English
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office Suite / Knowledge of SQL or programing
