The credit manager position is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

Description
Ensuring that the company credit policy is adhered to including monitoring the application of appropriate credit limits and the risk profile of customersInvestigate and resolve credit risks and problem accounts, reviewing and managing issues and significant transactionsBuild effective business relationships with internal and external customers to maximize cashMonitor country portfolio for trends and report market /risk warnings accordinglyAnalyze daily, weekly, and monthly credit reporting to monitor performance and identify issuesCollection whilst minimizing risksPrepare the annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts for credit managementDevelop and maintain the periodic credit control dashboard, reports on aged debt, overdue debt, DSO, cash flow, credits processed and provision for lossesProduce accurate and timely management accounts, identifying and correcting mis posts, variance analysis and insightful commentaryReconcile customer accounts sending monthly statement to the customersDSO/Overdue and cash flow forecast monthly/quarterly/yearlyCalculate and monitor Bad Debt fundOrganize Monthly Credit Call with Corporate and Commercial Team in order to discuss credit KPIs and analysis possible action to improve themHandling end to end process of Letter of Credit (LC), Cash Against Document (CAD)Handling SBLC. Monitor and advice SBLC amendments time to timeCoordinate with Cash Banking team for payment allocation and postingCredit Limit Annual ReviewCredit Hold Management – Blocked orders
Profile
Qualification & Skills Required:
5+ years of experience in Credit ManagementBachelors degree in business or similarCustomers negotiations skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills – Fluency in English essential (Arabic preferred)
Technical Competencies:
Working knowledge in ERP applications (Oracle & SAP)Extensive knowledge in Microsoft office (Excel & Power point)
