Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.
- Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Actively participates in all the education requirement and activities as per the Hospital Education Program.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
- Assesses the feasibility and potential effectiveness of proposed computerized information systems.
- Develops, writes computer programs for new or modify existing application programs according to system design specification using commercial programming software packages.
- Conducts system testing, user training and implementation, ensuring the quality of the programs developed for both user departments and Information & Communications Technology Department staff as required.
- Responsible for suitable documentation and/or installation, integration, support and decommissioning of developed software.
- Responsible for troubleshooting problems and challenges with the software problems, hardware issues or even networking problems and difficulties.
- Deals with other assignments delegated by the Senior Computer Programmer and Department Head.
- Create test plans and fully document testing outcomes.
- Handles day-to-day judgments in relation to project software design.
- Provides verbal reports identifying all progress in relation to project plans plus communicate any known problems or issues.
- Participates in the daily presentation activities and regular/departmental meetings within the department for staff advancement.
- Performs system analysis and understand business process.

- Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines or to access the computer to perform program tests.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment with interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates good analytical and logic skills.
- Should have general business skills and experience related to the operation of healthcare organizations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently or with limited supervision.
- Ability to instruct, collaborate and evaluate performance.
- Skilled using application software/ tools.
- Skilled in evaluation of documentation.
- Should have a proven record of developing mobile application and able to design and develop Model View Controller (MVC).
Education
Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or any related field
