Director, Product Strategy & Management – Strategic Merchants

Overview

This is a strategic product strategy and product management role within the Acceptance Solutions & Digital Infrastructure team at Mastercard. Non-FIs/ strategic merchants are a core part of the Mastercard’s business strategy. This role is focused at creative fit to purpose products for new segments such as Fintechs, Retail & Commerce merchants, Airlines and MNOs.
This role will also be responsible to define the strategy and approach to deepend penetration of Mastercard products and solutions within the strategic merchant segments by matching needs to product offerings.

Description of the role

• Product design, development, and portfolio management for strategic merchant verticals
• Develop end-to-end and launch market relevant products with key focus on process, consumer experience, pricing, go-to-market, sales enablement
• Deliver vs. GDV, revenue objectives for strategic merchant vertical by working hand in hand with strategic merchant solution architect and business development leads
• Grow market share and identify incremental business opportunities
• Identify support required from the central team on product design, marketing/sales collateral development, sales enablement
• Liaise with strategic merchant team to define product gaps and identify target customers according to their fit into product strategy
• Closely work with marketing in order to tailor marketing and communication plans in accordance with product development strategy
• Work with acceptance, gateway, digital and core regional leads to address segment requirements; ensure product integrity adherence
• Collaborate with Fintech segment team to identify product partnerships needed to deliver segment needs
• Drive execution of PME framework and principles to demonstrate end-to-end thinking and an understanding of consumer needs and customer/consumer experience
• Optimize the global/ regional operating model and further strengthen PME discipline – Product Development and Product Management – within the cluster
