RSA wants Actuarial Analyst

As an IFRS 17 Actuarial analyst, the primary objective of the role is to support the IFRS 17 Actuarial Lead for the successful implementation of IFRS 17 across the Middle East region.
This role involves analysis of practical issues faced while implementing IFRS17 Standard across different RSA and other associated operating entities.
It involves cooperation on IFRS17 methodology development and practical implementation.
The candidate is expected to develop actuarial/statistical models to facilitate actuarial and financial working under IFRS 17 framework.
The candidate is required to understand the standard and accounting policies, thereby develop excel and SAS model on result and system validation, providing proof of concept solutions and documentation.
The candidate will work with other actuarial/ finance colleagues and information suppliers/customers delivering ‘fit for purpose’ actuarial information, advice, and services.
The candidate should have strong analytical, communication and relationship management skills and thereby support IFRS 17 regional team towards IFRS 17 E2E implementation.
Jobholders are typically responsible for:
- Specifying, building, and operating actuarial and statistical models to meet business needs and requirements, ensuring methods and assumptions used are appropriate and consistent with relevant Group/Regional guidelines and reflect material regulatory requirements.
- IFRS 17 actuarial reporting framework developed in collaboration with regional finance and actuarial colleagues.
- Understanding the IFRS 17 Calculation Engine (CE) and preparing the data as per the CE input requirements.
- Reporting to internal management and Insurance regulators on a periodic basis in prescribed formats.
- Conducting detailed actuarial analyses as required, including working with complex or partial data, to produce timely, accurate, insightful, and commercially appropriate outputs.

Size & Scope:
- This role is focussed on Middle East regional role including KSA, UAE, Oman and Bahrain and further associated entities
- Reporting to the Head of IFRS17 Actuarial, Middle East.
- Significant collaboration with other departments
