NAOS Marketing is looking for a Chief Accountant to work for a Pharmaceutical holding company based in Cairo. The company is growing fast in the Middle East and African regions.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements for Egypt and Niger offices.
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate, complete annual audits, and meet financial accounting objectives.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct accountant team to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions taking place in Egypt and Niger.
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested by the management.
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships across all levels.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.

Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
- 7 to 12 years of Accounting experience.
- A very good level of English is required.
- A good level of the French language is a must.
- Presentable, self-managed & hands-on experience

- The workplace is in Cairo Office-6th October. However, business trips to Niger are sometimes required.
