We are looking for a Senior Data Science Engineer, who is passionate about technology, proficient in conveying technical concepts, and motivated by new challenges. You are passionate in designing algorithms to solve real, pressing problems using data. Also, you have an interest in the financial services industry. This candidate will build machine learning models, using top-notch statistical methods
Responsibilities
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Ensure high level of quality in data products through careful attention to detail and curiosity about data anomalies
Building machine learning models from development through simulation, testing, and validation
Work with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
Use all available data, undertaking data discovery and exploration to identify opportunities, develop strategies and techniques to improve results
Work closely with our software engineering team, QA team, and senior management team on a regular basis
Technical Skills
3-5 years of hands-on experience in the Data Science/Machine Learning Field
Experience using Python or equivalent statistical/data analysis tools
Hands-on with data structures, algorithms, OOP.
Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning algorithms in the realm of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement not limited to ANN, CNN, RNN, GAN
Statistical classification domain eg. Logistic Regression, K-NN, Kernel SVM, Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, Random Forest
Clustering domain e.g. K-means clustering, EM (Expectation Maximization)
Experience with training and deploying models on GCP or AWS.
Experience with AWS SageMaker or GCP AutoML is a plus.
Proficiency with relational databases and NoSQL databases
Experience across a broad range of modern big data and analytics tools are preferred (e.g., SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Spark,Flink, NiFi)

Experience with Data modeling
Expertise in one major machine learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Caffe/Caffe2, Pytorch, Keras, MXNet, Scikit-Learn.
Experience with building risk models is a plus
Experience in financial sector is a plus
Understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git)
Good understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum)

Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English

Education
Bachelor degree of computer engineering, computer science, or similar
