Business Development Manager– Egypt & North Africa (HPP)
Huntsman have an existing opportunity for an experienced
& energetic Business Development Manager with
the passion to identify & develop
new customers & business opportunities for our Performance
Products line particularly used in
the Industrial Coating, Adhesives & Energy applications
(Gas & Water treatment).
The position is a full-time contract based at
our new Sales office in Cairo (Egypt).
Reporting to the Regional Head – Middle East & Africa, you are responsible for developing strategically Huntsman presence & expanding the revenue in Egypt & North Africa. You are responsible for achieving profitable short- and long-term business objectives in line with our divisional strategy, budget and business plans.

Additionally, As BDM, You
Maintain company standards regarding safety and compliance whilst promoting Huntsman’s corporate principals and company values in all areas of your work.
Act as a growth & development champion by exceeding annual volume & margin targets – Identify, penetrate & develop profitable market/growth in Egypt & North Africa in the Industrial Coating, Adhesives & Energy industry using value selling principles according to the HPP strategy.
Gather and use market, technology and competitor intelligence to provide insight to Regional Market Manager to support the development of strategic marketing plans and to formulate and guide R&D projects
Understand customer needs, identify Huntsman products or services to meet those needs and make recommendations including where appropriate initiation of development projects
Develop relationships with customers in the region to introduce Huntsman products and new technologies, in close cooperation with Middle East Line & Africa Manager
Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure that reliable management information and forecasts are produced and reported in consolidated sales forecasts (C4C)
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives. Manage customer expectation and lead them to superior customer satisfaction
Assist customers’ technical requests and Align with Technical Team for development & troubleshooting
Work with Marketing and Technical Departments to develop and maintain a high level of market intelligence in your defined applications & markets.

Requirements
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related disciplines
Experience in an BDM/Account Management role within the speciality and/or commodity chemical sectors within a complex & multinational organisation.
Demonstrable negotiation skills & track record of track record of developing new markets and of leading value selling techniques
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues as part of a regional sales team.
Highly driven personality with the ability to adapt well in a fast-moving industry & to develop business opportunities
High levels of team effectiveness with the ability to contribute to cross functional groups involving, Marketing, Technical Service, Supply Chain and Customer Service
Previous experience in key account management and maximising market share in existing customer bases.
Willingness to travel within Egypt & North Africa.
Fluency in Arabic & English is a must. French would be an asset
