Job Summary
Abt Associates seeks a qualified Training Coordinator for the USAID-funded Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening (ERAS) Project, based in Egypt. The project will employ a market-driven, systems-strengthening approach to improve the competitiveness of horticulture producers and related downstream businesses and food processors by developing their abilities to respond to domestic and international buyer demand. ERAS will address the following inter-related goals: 1) Strengthen sustainable domestic and international market linkages; 2) Improve post-harvest handling and storage; 3) Increase productivity of small farmers and food processors; and 4) Improve nutritional status of women and children.

The project will have a headquarters office in Cairo and three regional offices in Menia, Luxor, and Gharbia. The ERAS team includes several US and local subcontractors, and the project will manage an $8 million grants fund, leveraging resources to address chronic obstacles in the development of Egypt’s horticulture industry.
The primary role of the Field Training Coordinator is to facilitate/coordinate training events and provide necessary logistical support. He or she will be required to travel extensively to the neighboring governorates where ERAS operates.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
Contact all trainees and instructors/consultants to confirm their attendance of the training events as scheduled
Assist the Field Training Supervisor in identifying appropriate venues for in-class training sessions within the governorate he or she is assigned to
Ensure all training equipment, materials, manuals, presentations, etc. are in place and properly functioning
Manage training expenses for transportation, meals, coffee-breaks, drinks, etc
Ensure all training forms and reports are properly completed. These include trainee’s attendance sheets, expense reports, training evaluations, etc
Submit training forms and reports to the Field Training Supervisor on regular basis
Minimum Qualifications
(1) year of experience and high school diploma OR the equivalent combination of education and experience
