Senior PHP/WordPress Developer
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our global development team! As a WordPress Developer in a leading electronic engineering media production company. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems. Having strong proven track in media production websites development.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing new features and functionalities.
- Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Migrating websites from other platforms into WordPress platform.
Technical Qualifications
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level.
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like GitHub and/or BitBucket.
- Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in WordPress Multisite.
- Experience creating multilingual websites.
- Experience with SEO technical improvements, SEO best practices.
- Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks.
- MySQL Database manipulation (writing and executing queries).

Bounce Skills
- Experience in WordPress.com VIP platforms – huge plus.
- Experience in SSO technologies – huge plus.
- Experience with plugins: Yoast SEO, Jetpack, ACF, and Gravity forms elite – huge plus.
- Experience with search platforms such ElasticSearch – plus.
- Experience with security and performance best practices – plus.
- Experience in AMP and Facebook Instant Articles – plus.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience and proven track in WordPress and web development.
- Strong communications skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent English-language (written and spoken) communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.
- Understanding of Internet marketing concepts, practices, standards, and regulations preferred.
- Skills in market research and competitive analysis in web site design and user experience preferred.
