Job Title: Exams Marketing Manager – Egypt & Libya

Contract Duration: FTC 1 years (renewable)

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Pay Band 6/G (Locally appointed)

Salary: 12,561 EGP/month + medical insurance

Role Purpose
                               

The overall purpose of this role is to lead the development and execution of the country marketing strategy and plans for the country, ensuring alignment to the cluster/regional and global marketing strategy and brand, and to work in partnership with Exams SBU to ensure that country marketing programmes enable required business targets.

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Marketing Directorate plays an essential role in helping us to make a positive contribution to the UK and the communities where we work – 17 dynamic and diverse countries in MENA. The Directorate is driving an approach to marketing excellence through an integrated team of marketing professionals that include specialists working in communications, insights and analysis, marketing performance and digital communications. The work is varied, challenging and rewarding, and supports a portfolio of work in English language teaching services, examinations and professional qualifications, education programmes, and arts and society initiatives.

Main Accountabilities

Develop and execute marketing plans for country Exams, ensuring that it drives and supports the cluster and regional strategic objectives for the British Council in a flexible, cost-effective way.

Plans and execute go to market plans for Exams across the country, agreeing the programmes, delivery mechanisms, budgets and resources with cluster.

Develops and execute campaigns to support a variety of routes to market and maximise impact and share of voice.

Deploys the British Council brand architecture in line with brand management standards across the country.

Provides oversight for country communications to intermediaries and partners, including society stakeholders.

Provides expert marketing feedback to help win donor business and shape partnership strategies within the country.

Ensures that clear and consistent marketing processes are deployed for country Exams aligned to agreed global marketing processes.

Monitors and reports on agreed marketing KPIs for country Exams.

Identifies opportunities in the market such as requirements for product regional manager for new product development and proactively shares results across the cluster/region marketing team and with regional and SBU leaders and the Marketing Community of Practice.

British Council

Qualification

Bachelor Degree in relevant field

Relevant external professional organisations e.g. CIM, Melcrum, GCN, CIPR, WOMMA etc. (or equivalent experience in relevant discipline)

Fluency in English is essential

3+ years of experience in a marketing position at a national level within a medium organisation

Demonstrable experience in managing supplier relationships 

Demonstrable experience of developing marketing strategies and plans

Experience in a global organisation
