Role: Product Researcher
Core Responsibilities:
● Understand the people who use the products, gleaning insights to drive product direction and strategy
● Take a human-centred approach to designing studies that provide an understanding of how people’s attitudes, beliefs, or stated needs relate to their actions or behaviours
● Work closely with product teams to identify research questions
● Act as a thought leader in domain of research, while advocating for people who use the products
● Design and execute studies that address both user behaviour and attitudes, using the right methodology for the right questions
● Generate insights that shape how product teams think about medium and long-term product strategy
● Work cross-functionally with design, product management, data science, content strategy, engineering, and marketing
● Communicate insights in creative and compelling ways
Core Qualifications & Experience:
● B.A/B.S. in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics
● Around 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a consumer driven/focused business
● Excellent communications skills
● Knowledgeable about product design, & passionate about understanding people
● Curious about the relationship between technology and society
● Comfortable in a flat & fast-moving organization
● Knowledge of set of research methods
● Ability to ask, as well as answer, meaningful and impactful questions
